We’re taking this opportunity to recognize Brenda Prickett and Dominique Atherly for their tireless work in preparing for and executing this year’s Bainbridge Island Turkey Trot on behalf of organizing sponsor Island Fitness. This is the 8th year that the Bainbridge Island Turkey Trot has benefited Helpline House on Bainbridge Island, but the 1st year that Brenda and Dominique took the helm from Anne Browning and Jenn Campbell. In addition to their work as Island Fitness Professional Trainers, and in Dominique’s case, Head Coach for Varsity Girls Volleyball, they managed the website, Facebook page, sponsorship, registration, coordination of volunteers and logistics leading up to and including the day of the event. The execution was flawless and nearly a thousand runners and walkers took place in this now iconic island event. Dominique and Brenda’s organizational skills and attention to detail made the work seem easy. We all strive to make a difference, next time you see Brenda or Dominique, please take a moment to thank them for their work which ultimately helps so many people in our community.
